How sweet it is!

The kids!

It is so crazy to refer to us as having children! It still shocks me every time! We are finally starting to get better at our house. I have never been sick for this long, ever. I don't know what is up! Ace is finally getting better too, but it has taken several trips to the doctor and prescriptions galore. I hope our family doesn't have to go through that again. Fortunately Dallas's eyes are getting better after a week of putting eye drops in four times a day! Let me just say that's pretty hard to do with a three year old, but D did pretty good. By the end it didn't really even bother him. I am so glad. Unfortunately Dallas is still really congested in the sinus and his tonsils are huge as well as the fact that he can no longer hear as well as he used too. Also upsetting is that he cannot enunciate as well as he used to either. I think that because of the above conditions he will need his tonsils out. I had mine out when I was six, and I know Dallas is pretty young, but I can hear him breathing even when doors are shut. Therefore Monday we are going to see the otolarynologist and see what he thinks. I hope he is proactive and says let's just take those baby's out, but we'll see.
Ace is getting so close to being done with tax season I can't hardly wait. After that he has orals and then graduation and sofi's blessing and then I hope our home will settle down a little bit! Oh well the blessing's have been tremendous this year with a healthy baby and still having our jobs, with a roof over our head, so who can complain really!

Superhero

Well, Dallas and I are convinced we live with a Super Hero, Jyl, not Ignacio!

Jyl and Dallas have both been under the weather. They've got this crud that's going around and the doc said he figures it'll last about 6-8 weeks. Poor Jyl sounds horrible, and Dallas has pink eye going back and forth from eye to eye. Fortunately, Sofi has been very healthy, and we pray it stays that way.

Jyl has been getting up with Sofi so I can continue to plug along in tax season. I typically get up somewhere between 4-5 am, and don't come home until around 8-9 pm. It's not so bad because I really like what I do. I am starting to miss the kids now.

Sofi has been sleeping pretty well for a newborn. Much better than Dallas ever did. She's a very happy baby that is content to just hang out. For the most part, she only cries if she's hungry, needs burped, or needs changed. Other than that, she's very content to snuggle right up to you. She pulls her little legs up and curls into a ball. What can I say, I'm smitten.

We are planning on having her blessing on May 10th. I graduate the day before, and we're going to have a barbecue that night. So, come for graduation, stay for the barbecue, and the next morning we'll bless Sofi. If you need accommodations, we have numerous places you can stay, just let us know. We'd love to have you all come.

Well, back to it. Thanks for everything, all your prayers, your visits, the dinners, and the friendships. You all are very important to us.

The DL

OK,

I figured I better tell you all the story. So, we went to Sun Valley on Friday night and stayed over to Saturday. Jyl had mentioned that it may not be a great idea, so close to the due date (2 weeks), but the doctor cleared us and I figured that since Dallas gave no sight of coming early, we'd be good. I've been cooped up in my office since the 2nd of January and needed some family time. Fortunately, we take the first Saturday in March off!

So, when we got home Saturday, Jyl was acting very prego. She hurt, was tired, etc. I felt bad. Sunday came and we went to church like normal. Well, about 2 in the morning (Monday), she started having contractions. They were about 8-9 minutes apart, and consistent. She thought they were Braxton Hicks and decided to wait till my alarm went off at 4 am to tell me about it.

I told her we needed to go into the doc and get her checked out. She told me she'd be fine and that she had a full schedule of patients for the day. So, I picked up the phone and called my sweet mother in law and asked her to come stay with Dallas Jay while we figured this out. She got there around 4:45.

As we were leaving, I asked if I should get the car seat, overnight bag, etc. Jyl said, "It's nothing, I'll be back in an hour and I'm going to work." Well, that didn't happen. She was dilated to a 6 when we got there. The doc got there at 7, broke her water, and she was at a 10 by 9.

The epideral was working great, and by 10:30 they said she'd be here sometime before 2. At 11 Jyl couldn't hold back and had to start pushing. By 11:15 the doc said push and @ 11:34 Sofia B. Call came into this world!

Jyl and Sofi have both been doing wonderfully. Jyl is such a trooper. She continually amazes me!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us get things put together and taken care of so we could bring this little angel into our home. You all are so wonderful and Jyl and I are so blessed.

Jyl will be off work for about six weeks, so if anyone wants to come see the little button, give her a call.

Somehow I've already been wrapped around that tiny finger!
